Event Manager, Meg Maher, comes to Plymouth Country Club with 20 years of event planning and operations experience. With a degree in Communications from UMASS Amherst, Meg began her hospitality career at The Milton Hoosic Club in Canton, MA. Meg also worked in off-premise catering for many years with Custom Catering by Domenic & Anthony, as well as Off the Vine Catering, both out of Norwood, MA. A mother of 10-year-old twins, Meg enjoys cooking and decorating in her spare time.

We have had a wet Spring here in New England, and had more showers than ever it seems!  Celebrating a new addition to the family with a baby shower is a rite of passage all parents-to-be should experience.  Friends and family gather with gifts and well wishes in anticipation of the ten little fingers and ten little toes on the way.

When it comes to planning an event of any kind, there are 2 kids of hosts:  laid back, no frills, let the party happen kind of people...and detail oriented, go-all-out kind of people.  I identifiy with the latter for sure. When it comes to entertaining, my motto is "go big or go home" and that doesn't always mean a huge budget, theme party or over the top extravagance.  When I 'go big' it means I pay attention to every little detail.  In this blog post (part one of many), I will discuss the ever-important detail of the invitation.
